Meet Bobick
Description:
Looking at this handsome sweetheart, Bobick, it is hard to believe he is almost 11 years old and qualifies for the Senior-to-Senior Program. Bobick’s name is Russian, coming from the nickname for a “small, unpedigreed dog.” It can also be an affectionate nickname meaning “bean.” Bobick might not come with papers showing his lineage, but he is a wonderful example of a sheltie. Bobick is also bilingual, so his fosters are using an app to keep up his Russian. What great fosters he has!
Bobick’s owner showed true love and entrusted him to AHDRO when he could no longer care for him. His fosters will provide Bobick with a loving, stable home for the rest of his days. His fosters said that inside the house, Bobick is the best dog they have ever fostered. He’s a gentleman, asking for permission to go upstairs, and he doesn’t sleep on the bed. However, it is when Bobick is outside that an aggressive side comes out if he sees any other dogs. Therefore, they are working with AHDRO to find a good dog behaviorist with whom to work through this reaction.
A behaviorist and other expenses associated with elderly dogs are two more reasons that Bobick was placed into the Senior-to-Senior Program. Please consider donating today to help AHDRO give Bobick the best care. Our little “bean,” Bobick, says “thank you.”
