An Update on Sam

Hi guys,

We wanted to let everyone know that Sam is doing extremely well!

We took him to the vet just to get him familiar with everyone there and they just love him. He has grown so much in the last couple of months. He is 7 months old now and weighs 45 #’s. He starting to look more and more like a Collie.

His coat is so soft and he hardly sheds at all.

He tries to do things he did when he was smaller but can’t due to his size. It’s so funny, he’s like a big klutz! He likes big piles of snow as much as he likes piles of leaves. He has the best personality. He also likes to sleep on his back lol!!

Honey (our older dog) and Sam get along very well. They love to go for walks together and they watch out for each other. We let Sam out the other day and after a couple of minutes Honey was in the living room howling like crazy. I could tell by her howls that it was Sam she was howling about. I looked out and saw the gate open and Sam was sniffing around the front yard. He was able to push the gate open because the snow and ice had frozen in the hole in the driveway that holds the gate shut. We fixed that problem right away.

We gave Honey a bath and while trying to dry her with a towel, Sam stood right over her like he was covering or protecting her.

We are very happy with Sam and thank you all for letting him be a part of our lives. We will continue to keep all of you posted on his development.
