Puddles is 11 months old and filled to the brim with puppy love and fun. He starts out a bit shy and apprehensive, but before long he’s participating in whatever new situation or meet-and-greet opportunity he is given. Currently, Puddles is betwixt and between in his personality. As he discovers what the good life has to offer, he can’t decide if he prefers galloping around in the yard or sniffing out interesting scents. Is he a pony or Sherlock Holmes? Puddles is showing these aren’t mutually exclusive. The same can be said for when he’s inside. Puddles likes to chill, but he also likes to look for his next activity. Why settle for one personality trait when he can have both? Puddles does seem to lean toward preferring people over other dogs; however, as much as he loves people, he loves interacting with dogs almost as much. Sometimes Puddles wants to be a “Velcro dog” with his foster family and other times, he’s quite content to sit back and observe. Perhaps a bit more of that Sherlock Holmes contemplation showing. He’s two, two, two puppies in one!
Puddles is perfecting his house-training. He’s also learning basic commands and hasn’t been out on a walk yet with his foster to show his leash skill level. Because of his puppy fun and energy, he will require a physical fenced-in yard. Puddles’ forever home won’t have to settle for a collie with a one-track mind, he has something for everyone. Most of all, he has lots of love he is eager to give.
