Description:
Evie and Mister Rogers would’ve loved each other. Evie loves everyone and everything she meets: people, dogs and cats. They are all immediately one of her “neighbors” and someone new to love. Her foster says that she is unlike any other foster dog she’s had. Evie came into the home, tried out one of the dog beds and then after a short time, climbed on the couch to snuggle next to her foster dad. When her foster siblings don’t feel like playing anymore, Evie settles down to chew on an antler or similar or play with a toy. She quickly picked up on how to treat both the elderly cat and kitten and learned who were the alphas and betas in the foster dog pack she’d joined. Evie is smart and eager to learn to please her human. She enjoys her outside play, so a fenced-in yard will be required.
Evie isn’t anxious over loud noises but is apprehensive that the other dogs will take her food. She isn’t aggressive about it but eats too quickly. She is being fed just slightly apart from the other dogs and is doing fine with this arrangement. Evie will access the trash if it does not have a closed lid. Evie lies down quietly on car rides; however, she does drool, which might indicate slight carsickness.
Evie smiles and is happy every day, which makes the people around her happy. She is a dream dog who is awaiting her forever home to become a reality.
*Note: Evie will require a physically fenced yard.
