Meet Reggie

Description:

Reggie is a handsome 10 ½-year-old collie. Recently, he has been experiencing intestinal issues, leading to increasing vet bills as his doctor works to find a solution. Despite that, he is a fur-coated bundle of love. Reggie remains a sweet, playful senior lad who adores spending time with his senior-to-senior foster mom. One of his favorite things is cuddling with her, making sure she knows just how much he loves her.

As a herding breed, Reggie once had an instinct to nip at people's heels in an attempt to "herd" them. To help curb this behavior, a training technique was used where the person would stop moving, command Reggie to "sit," and reward him with a treat when he complied. However, clever Reggie quickly caught on—he began nipping, sitting, and waiting for his treat as part of a routine! At that point, he was enrolled in professional training to redirect his energy in a positive way.

Reggie is quite the little performer—he loves weaving figure eights between your legs and delights in having his ribs rubbed; he actually groans to let you know when you hit just the right spot.
Once he’s had enough of that, he moves for you to give his butt a good scruffle instead. He loves throwing his stuffed toys into the air and catching them. On walks, he likes to choose a special stick, carrying it along for a while before setting it down—only to pick up the same one again the next day.

Reggie still has a lot of play in him and also boundless love to give. He will continue living out his golden years with his S2S foster, playing, loving and being loved every step of the way.
