Lisa (Now Kayla)

Kaluh, Kaela … we know how to pronounce it, but we haven’t decided on a spelling, lol! This dog, let me tell you, is the sweetest, most wonderful dog!!!!!! She has been a dream. She is loving, and playful, and sooooo good. She is going out thru the laundry room to the back yard. Last night and this morning, she totally wondered how Sandy’s yard had changed so much … I could tell by how she was looking at the back yard ! She loves her crate, and when I said “time for bed”, and shut the lights out, I thought she was following me … well, she went in her crate in the kitchen and thats where she stayed til 6:30 this morning when she heard us up!

We’ve had 3 walks, and she is getting a kick out of the mass number of squirrels we have in our neighborhood. One man was pulling out of his yard, and stopped and said ‘that is the most beautiful dog”. I said we had just got her and she is a rescue, and he ‘God-blessed’ me up one side and down the other for rescuing the dog. 🙂 The people in the McDonalds drive-thru on the way home called the other staff members and told them to look at this gorgeous dog in the car outside the drive-thru … and they all came to ‘aww’ at her! (she is gorgeous!)

But most of all, her disposition — I cannot tell you how cool she is. Jaime is in love with her, and me too. She has literally fit in like she has always lived here. Thank you for everything. My friend told me last night that she hadn’t heard me laugh in a while, and it sounded great.I think there was a huge hole in my heart from losing Lady. Kayla sure is doing a good job of helping fill it, even in the short 24 hrs we have had her. She is so affectionate.

Thanks for everything. I’ve already texted Sandy with some questions, but I think all will be good. I’m putting in a call to get her to the vet for next week, and will let you know how that goes. What do you need from them … anything? Thank you again for answering ALLLLLLL my questions and concerns. In retrospect, THIS was the right dog. (I had looked at her picture initially, before I met Lilly, and said “that’s the one” but then I met Lilly, and was enamored by her, but now I know Lisa was the right one. Jaime was right. I would So highly recommend your rescue to all, as you really did the right things and took the right steps to make sure these dogs find good owners. All of your screening is the right thing to do.
