Blaze
Blaze is doing well and is settling in. He is not happy about having to rise early to go potty, but his mama has to go to work, so he bears with the schedule. He’’s getting along great with the other dogs and with my cats. As soon as the weather is nice, I will get him outside on the deck and get some pictures of him to send. He’s quite the “old gentleman” and has charmed both my groomer and the lady who owns the kennel where I boarded him over a long weekend.
He has an orthopedic fleece bed in the sunroom where he naps and watches television and another bed by mine where he sleeps (and snores!) at night.
I think he’s hoping for a visit from the Easter Bunny and I’ve gotten some yummy treats for everyone to share. He’s very good about sharing, by the way. My Schnauzer – not so much!
I found out yesterday that I will be keeping a pug who belongs to the son of one of my friends until August. YIKES! He just found out he is not allowed to keep her in his apartment and so I’ll be boarding her until his lease runs out. Her name is Roxi … the same as my Schnauzer. It could get very interesting around my house. If you hear a loud scream for help, it’s just me. No worries.
He dozed off the other evening while rooting for his favorite couple on Dancing with the Stars (he’s nuts for Kirstie Alley – something about her age, and I’m nuts about Maks – it works out well) … I looked down at him and his face was mushed into the bed with his little tongue hanging out of his mouth. (Having no teeth to hold it back does not seem to bother him.) It was truly a Kodak moment, but I had no camera.
