An Update on Coco
Well, it has been a year since we adopted Coco and we are so happy. We never had any idea she would be such a great part of our family. We have found that stress causes her epilepsy attacks. Quite by accident, I put her on a 50′ lead so she could be outside with me when I was washing the car. She went ballistic and luckily I was close to her and removed her from the line immediately. That night she had her first attack. Five months later she had another when a neighbor was haying my backfield with a tractor. She hates the noise as she does most motors.
She does well now when we leave for the store or shopping. We don’t even bother to crate her anymore. When we get home she is beside herself to get attention and let us know she is happy we are home. She has places all over the house she likes to nap. She loves the kitchen (no need to explain)…she thoroughly enjoys mealtime. Nice to have a pet that looks forward to meals. She has found her voice and lets the neighbors know she is watching. Grooming is still not her favorite but lets Carolyn for 5-10 minutes at a time. The vet staff fell in love with her and she watched over Skip, our blind older collie. She is the best thing we could have asked for in a companion for us and our blind collie Skip. Hopefully, the rest of her life will be happy and carefree as it is now.
