In Memory of Cesar
November 14, 2005 – Cesar came to us on Saturday, October 29, 2005. On Sunday, November 6 our Cesar succumbed to parvo. Though with us for a very short time, Cesar showed us the true collie spirit and left us heartbroken.
It was apparent that Cesar’s previous owner didn’t cherish the bond between man and dog. Cesar was not leash trained and his back legs shook uncontrollably when asked to leave his crate. He would lie down from fear when asked to walk.
Cesar was making progress in his short time with us. He loved children forgetting, his fear for a moment when in their presence, and kissing their faces all over.
Apparently Cesar’s owner chose to not immunize him and the shelter Cesar had found himself in was not free from the parvo virus.
Though with us for a very short time, our special Cesar will remain in our hearts forever.
