Lassie
Description:
Lassie didn’t have the best start in life, but he’s quickly learning to appreciate home life with a family. He is a playful guy and at this point, because he wasn’t well socialized, he finds playing with other dogs his most enjoyable pastime. He loves to wrestle, chase and run, and he often has a ball in his mouth that he will make squeak. Lassie is energetic, and we can understand why running is such a joy for him now when you consider he was rescued from a place where he couldn’t.
In spite of his cautiousness in his brand new world, he quickly learned to trust his foster, and indoors he is happy to follow her wherever she goes. His eyes seem to say, “I’d really like to cuddle,” but he still is a little nervous with people and takes some time to warm up to newcomers. He is crate trained and is progressing well with his housetraining. In general, cats do not interest him; however, if one races by he is sure that is an invitation to run after it. Lassie hasn’t really started learning commands yet, but we think his love of treats will make this a fun process for his forever family.
Lassie’s world changed in a day and he barks happily when he wants to go out and when he gets to play with his foster siblings. He’s still adjusting and would do best with a family who has had some experience with poorly socialized dogs.
