Friendly and  handsome Zuko is hoping his happy smile will slide right into your heart.  At his age, playing is an important part of every day life, but he also loves to be with his people and indoors enjoys being close to them; he was described as “velcro with magnets.”   He is clever and fun loving, will whine to tell you he’s ready for anything and enjoys playing ball, frisbee, and tug of war. Zuko is learning to “let go” when he returns the toy and can already catch a frisbee in mid air.  He needs a fenced in yard so he can run his laps at high speed to use up his youngster energy and then is quite mellow inside. Some supervision is necessary because he notices good food on counters and chews which is normal for a dog his age.  He enjoys meeting people, gets along with other dogs but is too boisterous for an older dog or a dog who doesn’t want to play or engage. 

Zuko is house trained, is crated only when the family is gone and does well in the car.  He still pulls on a leash but after all, the world is a wonderful place to explore and he need reminders. He understands No, Sit, and Stop and is working on Lay Down.    He does appear to have food allergies so his forever family needs to be willing to purchase speciality food.  When given food he is allergic to, the symptoms are red and swollen eyes and it takes weeks for the symptoms to resolve.  If you are ready for fun and games and a loyal companion, Zuko is applying for that place in your heart.
