Description:

Prancer was named for his endearing “prance” when he greets you or is excited.  It definitely will make you smile. He is an equal opportunity collie who loves both people and dogs.  Outside he loves to run, play and chase or  he might spend his time sniffing and exploring.  Indoors he is affectionate, mellow and relaxed and enjoys cuddling. He loves food and becomes an instant velcro dog at mealtimes and  treat times.  Prancer does well in a crate and is comfortable when people leave the house. He is sociable and has done well with children and  adults.  He is reserved so he is a bit wary with new people and a little skittish if anyone moves quickly or unexpectedly. But, he loves attention so much that he quickly overcomes his initial reticence.

Prancer has gotten along with cats that he has seen out on walks.  He can be a bit frightened by unexpected sounds and objects both inside and out and copes by quickly moving away. He is attentive and working on commands.  Prancer is making great progress with house training.  His other house manners are impeccable and he walks well on a leash.  He also enjoys riding in the car.  Prancer is sensitive and needs an understanding and  patient forever family while he gets used to the routines and activities of the household.   Another dog in the household would give him a buddy to learn from.  His calm, attentive nature will endear him to you and he will love you in return.
