Look into those eyes and you will see that Delta is looking for that forever person or family who will both live up to her expectations and unlock her full potential.  Delta’s foster reports she is like having a living “stuffed animal” snuggling with her and enjoying sleeping on her bed; yet also loving her walks during which she “comes alive” when meeting other dogs.  

Delta had little socialization prior to arriving at her foster’s so this has been a priority with her foster.  Delta hasn’t revealed what motivates her yet but so far food and toy rewards don’t seem to be it.  Delta is reserved at first with both people and new sounds and situations, but as she gets used to them, she starts to show what a wonderful dog she is. Delta would like a crate she can call her own with access whenever she needs to feel secure.

Delta will do best in a calm home with a life that is a blend of walks and exploring a fenced-in yard along with quiet contemplation from a comfy, secure spot.  She would love a canine sibling who can help with teaching her commands and gaining confidence in new situations. Delta is a beautiful girl with a heart full of possibilities.
