Description:
Gavin is a handsome, good natured young collie who has just started to learn how to live in a home with a family and is making great progress. He had some fears at first, but is a smart boy and learning the routine of the household and that petting is a wonderful thing. He is affectionate and does come to his humans for reassurance if he is unsure of himself but is becoming more comfortable every day. He enjoys playing with the resident dogs and is a bit puppy-like as he is experiencing, for the first time, the joys of treats, being petted and loved.
Gavin does well with cats and free range chickens. He comes when he is called. He is fearful of crates but has done well with being in a gated area as he has learned about household living. He is in this area at night and is quiet and does not have accidents. He was leashed while they were there, but very interested in children who visited and was gentle with them. He is soaking up all of the love extended to him and is happily exploring and enjoying being a family dog.
