In Memory of Bryson
In loving memory of Bryson, a note from Bryson’s mom honoring Bryson’s influence in her life:
Back in 2013 I failed fostering and adopted a sweet 3year old collie from you named Bryson. Yesterday I had to make the Incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision to let him pass peacefully as he had developed arthritis and had some nerve problems that caused him to lose control of his back legs and unable to walk properly. I just wanted to let your organization know how much I appreciated your help in finding my absolute best friend. Bryson came into my life at the perfect time, I was going through a very hard time in my life and I like to say he rescued me from the dark place I was in. Bryson and I moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2014 when I took a new job as RN, through the last almost 9 years Bryson has been my faithful companion and comforter. His sweet calm personality was the best part of him, he loved stuffed animals, laying in the sun, and hiking and running with me. In his older years he enjoyed being pushed in the wagon on his walks with my husband and daughter, laying in the yard barking to let everyone know he was outside, and begging for treats. He was so very special and I am so very heartbroken to be without him, he was never more than 10 feet from me and was always waiting to welcome me home from work, I do not know what I will do without him, there’s a hole in my heart without him. Maybe one day I can rescue again, collies are such wonderful dogs, I know one day I’ll be ready for a new extra fluffy boy again.
