Description:
Penny is a sweet, low-key Collie-mix puppy. She’s a stocky young girl with the softest fur coat who will snuggle into your shoulder and neck when picked up and give your mouth little sniffs to learn what you may have just eaten. When not napping in her favorite spot under an ottoman, she can be found lying in a pile of plush toys and chew toys giving each an equal amount of her attention. She hasn’t found a toy she doesn’t like. Penny lives with two foster sibling Collies and loves to run around the backyard with them. In the mornings and evenings she gets silly zoomies and plays with her foster siblings before zonking out into sleep.
Penny is a quick learner and has learned to sit for her meals like a little lady. She is very food motivated so leash training has been coming along nicely with the use of treats to reward good behavior—positive training works well with her. Penny is crate trained though she sometimes protests at first, especially when her foster mom is leaving the house for errands. However, she does settle down quickly. Penny is currently being house trained and does very well when her schedule is followed. Penny hasn’t been around cats or kids as they aren’t in her foster home but she does enjoy meeting other dogs and people and will play with dogs that visit for play dates in her backyard. Penny is young and is very well adjusted; she has no fears of loud noises or thunderstorms. (She hasn’t hear fireworks yet so her foster mom doesn’t know about that.) Penny has traveled in the car in her crate and did very well—no protesting or car sickness.
Penny is very aware of her people and wants to be with them whether it’s hanging out in the house, working in the yard, going for walks or going to sleep at night. She follows her foster mom wherever she goes and will most likely bond with her forever family the same way.
