Description:

Meet Buster, our handsome, gentle, attention loving 3 year old collie. He’s done well with the foster’s other dogs, excited to meet them and plays “keep away” outside. When not playing he may take a few laps around the fenced in yard. But, he seems to love people the most. He wants to stick close to his foster, is wherever she is and loves to cuddle. As far as he is concerned, new people are yet another opportunity to be the center of attention. He has met the neighbor children, barks a bit, but happily interacts appropriately with them. He is curious about cats and wants to play with them but does not chase.

Buster is working on commands and has already mastered “sit”. The crate seems to be a new experience for him, but he is doing well using it when his foster is away from home and at night. He was an outside dog before coming to Almost Home but appears to be house trained with frequent opportunities to go outside. New sounds startle him and he either barks and moves away or cautiously investigates. Leash training, another new experience, is also going well. He can melt your heart as he lays his head on your lap, looking at you adoringly and hoping you will love him and pet him forever.
