Description:

Boomer is a large, handsome collie, on the cusp of maturity, who is smart and eager to please. He loves to play outside and enthusiastically races with his foster dog buddies. He happily approaches new dogs and interacts with them well. Outside he is definitely showing his “puppy-ness” but, indoors he is calm, happy to follow his foster mom and is never far away from her. He just starting to learn commands, but if his steady improvement in leash walking is any indication, he will learn quickly with consistent practice. It takes time for him to warm up to new people, he is shy and has not yet had experience around children while in his foster home. His foster mom says that although he is playful he seems to have a gentle and quiet wisdom which is unusual for a dog who is not quite a year old. He is crate trained and shows no anxiety when his foster mom leaves the home. He will be a wonderful companion to whoever opens up their hearts and home..
