Description:

Janet is a beautiful small tri color collie.  We believe she lived outside before coming to Almost Home and she decided quickly that indoor living in “the best,” quickly taking care of business before heading back to the comforts of home.  In fact, she seemed to understand the whole idea of being housebroken from the time she arrived.  She is very well behaved and even though had not been taught any commands, now knows her name and we think she will learn quickly.  She did not like to be crated (she might have lived in a kennel in her past) but is trustworthy in the house. She loves to be around her foster mom. She is very mellow and when meeting someone new, sniffed, and then waited to be petted.  She was a little unsure of the resident dogs at first but warmed up to them quickly and recently has started to act as if she might like to play.

She has only had one interaction with a child but during it she was very gentle. She loves to be close to her human, to cuddle and be petted.  She leery of getting into a car but once there, does well when traveling and walks well on a leash.

She is good natured, smart and affectionate and will be a wonderful companion in her forever home.
