Description:
Patches is a beautiful 1-year-old blue merle collie. She previously lived with eight other dogs and did not have individual attention. She had to share her food and is now making up for lost time. She has a great appetite and always finishes her plate!! Having never learned simple commands or leash walking, her foster family is working with her, and she has already learned the command to come and is learning the “sit” command. She is very intelligent and a quick learner.
The family dog is now Patches’ friend. Her high energy makes running and playing outside delightful, and they truly enjoy each other’s company. When meeting other dogs she is scared at first, especially if the other dog barks a lot, but she warms up quickly.
Patches is a bit nervous when she meets new people. She hides at first but quickly comes running back and stays for snuggles galore! Loud noises also scare her, but she comes to her foster family for comfort. She is described as having a true love for people and being a cuddle-bug. With consistency from training and a loving home, Patches will continue to flourish as a wonderful companion.
