Description:
Looking for a loyal companion? Meet Jake, a well-mannered gentleman who would be the perfect addition to your family. Jake is a 9.5-year-old male Collie who experienced an unexpected change in his life when his owner sadly passed away. Along with the other dogs in his home, he had to find a new place to live.
Jake is a bit of a serious boy—understandably confused by the change in his situation. At the moment, he can seem a little withdrawn, but he’s warming up to his foster family. He enjoys their company, follows them around, and likes to stay close. As an older dog, Jake is more sedentary and enjoys being a couch potato, though he prefers the floor over the actual couch. Since his foster family doesn’t have a fenced-in yard, Jake is being trained to walk on a leash. They hope his forever family will provide regular exercise to help him shed a few pounds.
Jake is very friendly and listens well. He knows the “sit” command and seems to understand a lot. He has no anxieties and enjoys being in the house. He's incredibly cuddly and loves affection from his foster family. Having lived with other dogs before, he gets along with the foster’s dogs, but he’s not much for playful activities. Instead, Jake prefers to quietly observe the household from a distance.
Jake will benefit from having someone who can dote on him and provide him with a lot of snuggles. Love is what he is looking for, and he will appreciate every bit of it. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion, Jake just might be the one for you!
