Description:

Daisy Mae is a burst of loving sunshine in a sheltie’s body. She is a big cuddler and snuggler. Daisy Mae is a stick-to-your-side kind of gal. She’s not one for playing with her toys independently. She loves both people and dogs, but perhaps people slightly more. She has been very gentle with kids. Until she got to know the other dogs in the house, Daisy was protective of her foster mom, but quickly knew all was well.

If food or treats are involved, Daisy Mae is eager to learn commands. She has learned the commands to sit, come and stay in her short time in her foster home. Daisy’s foster mom says she’s “a big mooch,” so if you’re looking to lose weight while helping Daisy Mae lose her extra pounds, this is the sheltie for you. It’s hard to snack with her nearby. Vegetables have become a new addiction for Daisy Mae as she works to shed her love handles. As with many people, it seems like this sweet girl equates food with love.

When meeting strangers, Daisy’s assumption is that they are there to pet her. Everyone falls in love with her. She loves her walks and meeting new people and dogs while out and about. Shelties are known to bark a lot; but so far, not Miss Daisy. When exploring or lounging in the backyard, she doesn’t bark or chase the wildlife!

Sweet love-bug Daisy Mae is waiting for the forever home that is meant to love and be loved by her forever.
