Description:

Goldie is a beautiful golden retriever/collie mix who loves people and is very friendly. She enjoys being outside, exploring and playing but inside is happy to snuggle and always makes sure she knows where her humans are. She was a stray and underweight when she arrived at Almost Home but is making up for lost time because she loves her mealtimes.

Although we do not know her history, she has already shown she understands “Sit,” “Down” and “Go to Bed.” She is treat-motivated, so her ongoing training should progress fairly smoothly. Goldie seems to take things in stride, and she is not anxious about sounds or movements. She is strong and working on walking on a leash. Goldie needs a fenced-in yard because she will try to flee if startled. She is good with cats after an initial “I’m-SO-very-excited-to-see-you” stage. Goldie is a happy, exuberant dog who is working on the finer expectations of home life and making great progress. She can hardly wait to meet her forever family.
