Description:
Stewart is one of those collie pups who is the complete package. He sounds too good to be true. He loves to play and loves to cuddle. He loves food and all kinds of toys, so he should be easily motivated to train. When meeting cats and dogs, he’s very happy and recently accepted an elderly cat’s rebuke of paw batting him with aplomb. He’s a very happy boy and reacts to new people and animals accordingly, seeming to say, “I’m so happy you’re here!”
Unfortunately, Stewart was born with a severe congenital form of collie eye anomaly/merle ocular dysgenesis. He was seen by MedVet in Columbus in the Ophthalmology Department; and for Stewart’s ongoing health, his blind left eye needed to be removed. Stewart did extremely well. His lid is stitched closed, so it looks like he is winking at you. To add to his unique cuteness, he has a short tail with a kink which gives him a little tail floof. Stewart’s foster mom said that you don’t notice these supposed imperfections because he is so cute and joyous. She said, “He is the SWEETEST dog ever!”
