Description:

Take a look at cute, tiny Sassy, an 8-year-old sable merle sheltie with a quiet, sweet disposition. Sassy can be a bit timid and nervous when she first meets someone unfamiliar. She is cautious and stays out of the way. As she gets used to new people, Sassy becomes so comfortable that she seeks out attention by nudging their hands for daily cuddles. She has toys, but Sassy prefers the relaxed company of people to playtime. Her foster family describes her as low maintenance and very easy to foster. She basically fits right in!

Sassy enjoys the outdoors and exploring and would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard. She has been around other dogs and greets them with a good sniff but doesn’t engage in a lot of play with them. She likes to roam around when in the house; she paces a bit but will find a quiet place to sleep when she is tired. She seems to be afraid of loud unexpected movements, so she may do best in a home without small children who may startle her. She will need work to learn her commands but is very obedient, easy-going and is motivated by treats. This quiet, dainty dog has quickly learned to adjust in her foster home and loves their company. She will be a great companion for her future family.
