Description:
Skipper is a handsome boy who is just about to turn a year old. Due to family and work constraints, his former family did what was best for Skipper: to help him find a family who can spend lots of time with him and shower him with the love and affection they know he deserves. He does well with other dogs and would love to have a canine sibling living with him. He has not been left in the house for very long while his foster has been gone, but there has never been anything out of place when she's returned. Skipper does not appear to see a crate as a safe, cozy place, so we are happy that he seems to do well without one.
He loves playing outside with other dogs and was very friendly with them from the time he arrived. Indoors he is most often found near his foster, is very mellow for his age and only occasionally romps in the house. In the short time he has been in his foster home he has shown that he knows his name, knows how to walk on a leash and rides well in a car. He loves treats, so he should do well with basic obedience training. Skipper not only gets along well with other dogs but also with the people he meets. He might approach them slowly but is friendly and curious about newcomers. He is enthusiastic but also gentle and good-natured. A sensitive guy, Skipper is low-key and affectionate.
Since arriving in his foster home he has shown us that he loves to be around people and hopes a family will soon fulfill his wish for a loving family who will be happy to share their lives with him.
