Description:
Meet Smith and you’ll meet a sparkly eyed pup who’s happy to meet you. His foster couldn’t say enough wonderful things about him. He is a cuddly collie who likes to follow his people around, but he also loves the companionship of his foster dog siblings and would prefer a home with another dog. Smith loves running in their fenced-in backyard, so a fenced yard is a must for him to help burn off that collie energy. He is learning how to walk politely on a leash for those times when the yard just isn’t enough to explore. Smith hasn’t had the need to be crated, although the fosters have been using one for him at night.
Smith’s loves are cuddling, food and being with his foster doggie siblings. He also loves people and greets visitors to their house. He hasn’t bothered their cat. Smith does have a herding instinct, though, when he’s been around a young child, especially outdoors -- he is a collie after all. He’s learning basic commands and is very food motivated, which will make any training easier.
So far, Smith hasn’t been known to be a “barker.” A handsome, cuddly collie pup with a sweet, loving disposition who isn’t a barker. Smith might have a generic name, but he is truly one very special collie.
