Description:
Rory was a companion to an elderly lady before he came to Almost home. He loves treats and gets along with the other dogs (big and small) in the foster household. He enjoys cuddling with his foster mom but is also content to watch what is going on from a comfy spot. His favorite people are women but he is getting acclimated to men and will warm up with time and patience. He understands “Come,” “Crate,” and his name. Rory enjoys sniffing the good smells when outside and inside is alert to what is going on around him. He does demonstrate a herding instinct and needs to be in a home without cats or other small animals such as hamsters or gerbils. We believe he would do best with more mature children if there are children in his forever home. He is a bit shy and takes some time to warm up to newcomers. He rides well in the car, loves to be brushed and does well on a leash. He is comfortable being in a crate at night, when fed and when the family is away. He’s a smart, attentive boy, who is gentle and good natured.
