Description:
Note: Olivia will need a physically fenced in yard.
Olivia is a sweet, petite collie who has seen a lot of life changes in a short period of time. Just a few weeks ago she was living outside, matted, dirty and a bit underweight. She has adjusted wonderfully and is flourishing in her foster home. Today she is a Velcro dog inside the house and loves to be petted, scratched and cuddled. She even enjoys being bathed and brushed, loving any human contact. She whined a bit when crated at first, but now settles in quickly. Olivia enjoys other dogs and play bows, barks and whines because she can hardly wait to begin playing. Outside in her fenced in yard, she runs and barks just to let the world know she’s there.
Much of what Olivia is experiencing today is brand new to her and she is still getting used to loud household noises like lawnmowers and other outdoor equipment, reacting with some skittishness. Although she is very comfortable around people in her foster home, she is a bit shy with newcomers. She has only interacted with children on her walks but is always excited to greet them, so we believe she will do well with children that understand her playfulness. A smart girl, she was house trained quickly and has already mastered “Come,” “Go,” and “Leave it. Being food motivated is a plus for training.
Olivia has the typical energy level of a two year old. She is affectionate, curious, and at times silly but is always good natured. Now that she knows what family life is like, she will love finding her forever family.
