Description:
Curious and alert and always on the lookout for FUN, this exuberant 7-month-old pup already has a lot of “loves” in his life. He loves attention. He loves taking walks. He loves humans. And he especially loves humans who love to play fetch and frisbee as much as he does! He could be a budding agility champ given his athletic leaps when catching a frisbee. Be warned, he also loves to chew sticks.
There’s a gentle side to Skippy as well. His foster mom is quite impressed with how gently and sweetly he takes treats. Skippy knows sit, stay (with hand signals), down and shake and is currently working on house-training. He’s also very respectful of his foster siblings and good at mealtime not guarding his food. At night he sleeps in his crate, and during the day occasionally naps in it with the door open.
In his previous home, Skippy did exhibit chewing, which is normal for a dog this age. He is very much a puppy and is learning manners. He loves being near humans and loves attention; therefore, he would do well in a home in which he has a human and/or pet sibling who will keep him occupied and can happily join him as he expends his puppy energy with walks and playtime.
