Description:
Toto, and her sister Aurora who is also up for adoption and has a separate profile on this website, are the sweetest collie pups one could ever meet. They are cuddly, healthy, playful, and gentle. Typical collie pups! It would be fantastic for them to be adopted together since they are 8 month old litter siblings, however they seem to be very independent of each other and could do well on their own.
Would you love to have a collie lap dog? Both Aurora and Toto could make this happen! Aurora loves to be with her human peeps, and she likes nothing more than to lay right beside you while you relax in your recliner. But she will also crawl in your lap and cuddle with you. Toto is even more of a cuddler and quite often asks to get in your lap. Sometimes they both compete for your affection!
Aurora and Toto are awesomely curious pups and enjoy playing with toys. Aurora is more of a ball and fetch player while Toto loves to chew and tug. Both play nicely with other dogs, too.
While their foster parents have not actually seen them play with kids yet, it would be surprising if they just didn’t run right up to little ones and lick them. They are pups and do like to jump, but that’s something they would definitely learn to control. Their previous owner did say that they did get along with children.
And, boy, are they smart and highly trainable! They respond well to treats and praise, and understand what “no” means. Like many pups, they sometimes jump on things. A quick “no” causes their head to turn and curbs unwanted behavior. Leash training is a work in progress and they are learning the sit, watch me, and come commands. They find their crate homes comfortable and sleep through the night.
And Bonus Points: both are completely house trained!!
These two will grow to be perfect, family collie pets.
