Description:
Sam is a less-than-a-year-old collie mix who's is the epitome of “friendly.” He loves people and dogs and is eager and excited to meet both. He seems to enjoy playing as much as he loves cuddling. In fact, he considers himself a bit of a lap dog. When outside, he loves to run so a fenced in yard will give him the space and freedom for running. He is just starting to work on commands, but he is smart and we think he will learn quickly. Sam is crate trained, is house trained, and does well on a leash though does pull a little when something interests him. He is a little unsure of getting into a car so he needs to be picked up. He is resilient, and trusts humans even after apparently being dumped beside a road before he came to Almost Home. He is generally calm, but like any young dog, can be boisterous. Although there are no cats in his foster home, he was briefly in a household with cats and seemed to do well with them. Sam would love a home with lots of affection a place where he grow up and develop into a mature adult dog.
