Description:
Lassie is a petite Collie girl who was rescued from a puppy mill in Tennessee. She lived outside tied up to a doghouse. She is quickly adapting to the comforts of having a soft bed, lots of toys, and two Collie foster brothers. Lassie is very affectionate and loves her people.
Lassie was quickly house broken and crate trained. She is doing well on leash training, and is very excited to explore her surroundings. Lassie is two and a half, but due to lack of training acts more like a puppy. Although she learned many household routines quickly, her adoptive family will need to be patient to work with her regarding chewing and curiosity. She comes when called but needs to work on other commands. Although Lassie is not being fostered in a home with cats, the foster family believes she may want to chase them due to her puppy-energy and curiosity so a forever home without cats may be bet for her. Lassie is enthusiastic and loves to race around the backyard with her Collie brothers, but is also content to lounge in a recliner while her foster mom watches TV. She enjoys cheering with her mom for her favorite football team. She now knows being with a family is what she loves and is looking forward to meeting her forever family.
