Unfortunately, many of the dogs that we rescue here at Almost Home have not lived a very good life up to this point. Many of them require medical treatment for diseases or injuries such as heartworms, pneumonia, malnutrition, and broken bones. Regardless of cost, our dogs are given every chance to survive, get healthy and be adopted. It is not unusual for medical expenses, especially for seniors, to run hundreds of dollars … a few, even into the thousands. All of our AHDRO dogs are available for sponsorship to help defray the costs of their care while in our program.
If you want to help but cannot adopt at this time, this is the program for you! Any money donated is used to offset our dog’s medical costs and monthly care. You can sponsor any of our current dogs in your name or in honour or memory of someone else or another pet. Just let us know that your donation is “in memory of…” with the name. A dog can be sponsored as a one-time donation or as a monthly donation in the amount you choose. (Sorry, we cannot offer billing services.) Dogs can have more than 1 sponsor.
You can send in a check or you can use PayPal using the link below. Please list with your sponsorship donation the name of the Almost Home dog you are sponsoring. All sponsorship donations are fully tax deductible. Sponsoring one of our dogs is easy. To sponsor any of our current dogs, simply send in your check or money order (no cash, please) payable to:
