We held our 2010 Annual Reunion with all our adopters and their dogs Saturday, June 26th at the Bark Til Dark Dog Park in Delaware, Ohio. Over 121 people and 100 dogs attended a day that included meeting our Almost Home volunteers, fosters reuniting with their former foster dogs again, and the adopters of our wonderful dogs enjoying a fun time with everyone.
We all enjoyed the award winning music from Walter Gloshinski and his mastery of 5 instruments for our entertainment and the day’s activities included a pond for the dogs to romp in, a silent fund raising auction and a raffle. Kelly Sowers from Duke’s Delivery held a nutritional round table for questions on proper nutrition for our dogs and there was a nail trimming station for anyone who could round up their dog for a sprucing up. There was plenty of food and sunshine (and shade!) as well as a picnic lunch for all our guests. There were Collies (and honorary Collies) everywhere you looked!
Our annual picnic is our way of saying thank you to our wonderful adopters who have given an Almost Home dog a new life. It is refreshing to see all those we have rescued so happy and content. It is why we rescue! Please take a look at our posted pictures on Flickr!
