I would like to thank everyone at Almost Home Rescue for our dog Tara. We adopted our girl seven years ago and she was the kindest, gentlest, “Velcro” collie. I drove four hours to Columbus and met several very nice collies, but when I saw Tara at a foster home, I knew she was special. Tara was a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. She especially loved children, older people, and all animals. We have outdoor cats (which are spayed and neutered) and they followed her throughout the yard daily as though she was the shepherd and they were her sheep.
Friends would tell us what a lucky girl she was to have found us, but we knew we were the lucky ones to live with and to be loved by such a kind sweet soul. She brought so much joy and happiness into our lives and to others, that I am broken hearted to write that she passed away last month at fourteen. She will always be missed and be forever in our hearts.
Thank you again, Almost Home Rescue, for bringing her from the Louisiana/Mississippi area after Hurricane Katrina.
~Fondly your friend,
