Gabby and Dillon
Gabby and Dillon are Sheltie brothers who were surrendered to Almost Home because their owner, who loved them dearly, could no longer afford them. She had recently lost her husband due to a lengthy illness that was hard on these boys. She insisted that Almost Home was to make sure these two were adopted together. At the same time, the Penny family started the adoption process with us and told us they were possibly looking for two Shelties! The rest is history.
Gabby and Dillon are doing very well in their new home and are very loved little guys. We recently received this note from Angie about her new boys:
We are all doing well. The boys are all settled in. They had their first vet check with Doc. He was so impressed with how well they were taken care of. He couldn’t stop squeezing Gabby and even giggled a little when he when he felt his chubby rolls under his legs. He was definitely concerned about Gabby’s weight but so far with exercise and food management he is starting to slim down and is looking really good and healthy! Dillon is picture perfect.
The boys are great and such a joy. I believe I told you before how dependent they were with each other. Now, they are like different creatures! Very independent!!! Gabby is now a full time lap dog, he loves it! Dillon wants to be a lap dog but stiffens up. He keeps trying. It’s very funny!
It’s been great watching them bloom and discover life again.
Thank you and everyone at Almost Home.
Thank you Angie and Kelly, for taking these boys in and keeping them together!
